	Are you a special person? All these people are like millions of Americans who try to do the right things while growing their business. Selection process: We all need to be helping to select the business owners to be spotlighted. We are not far from rapidly expanding our listing on these pages and then we will encourage your vote! To get this far, we've relied on the recommendations from our station managers, our Governors and Mayors, Chambers of Commerce, the national and regional trade associations, the business press, and the many small business advocates among state government (other elected representatives, Commerce, Economic Development, Tourism) and federal government (SBA, SBDC, SCORE). Always, always, always, these small business owners will be people who are loved within their communities and respected within their industry. Let us work together to create some competition for all the exploitive models that have saturated commercial television. Let us all encourage and inspire models of creativity and enterprise. What would happen within our culture if more people where to discover their real gifts and calling for work? What would happen if more people had a passion for what they create -- things and/or events -- and imputed within it with an abundance of value? Certainly our communities and world would always be becoming a better place. Aren't these questions worth asking? Let's just do it! Small business is the engine of every nation's economy. In the USA: Small business employs up to 60% of all working people. Small business produces over 51% of the Gross National Product. Small business creates 75% of all new jobs and virtually all NET NEW jobs. Big business creates lots of jobs, but they constantly downsize through mergers and acquisitions. Small business gets only $9 of every $100 loaned through traditional banking sources. As many as 70% of all business start-ups fail within the first three years.
